It has recently come to light that a large part of the cosplay community thinks it is racist to cosplay Characters like Amethyst from Steven universe, because somehow purple skin translates to dark skin, Apparently people have thought dressing as the purple rock alien at a convention is offensive. Interesting thought, nobody really cares because you're a nerd that paints your skin purple.
